Tell us a little bit about you and your background.

If we re-wind the clock, exactly one year, to January 2020, I would not have been able to imagine being a part of a fully-remote team and coming back to my home country. This pandemic comes with many challenges but with many opportunities as well.

My name is Paskal and I am employee number 6 and the first sales hire at Omnipresent, joining the team in July 2020. After spending about 13 years in the USA, I have made the decision to come back home, to Burgas, Bulgaria. 


What do you do at Omnipresent?


My focus is on everything sales related. I spend the better part of a day in my Zoom meeting room - communicating with people, presenting, educating, and answering questions about how Omnipresent is solving painful and complex issues for our clients. 

What do you like most about your role?


I am part of a mighty team that is literally inventing the future. In my view, the sales side of Omnipresent is the engine of the company and we’ve taken off on all cylinders! 


How did you come to work at Omnipresent and what about Omnipresent's mission resonated with you?


I do not recall how I was first introduced to the company. My professional background, being both part of a large corporation and of a quickly-growing Unicorn startup, probably have something to do with it. But I do recall the thorough and rigorous interview process the founders subjected me to and can never forget how tough Guenther was in mock discovery calls… 


Omnipresent’s mission is one of my primary motivators - remote work is here and it is here to stay. This pandemic brings many problems but it also brings many opportunities - opportunities to be close to loved ones, to work from anywhere we wish to, and to take full advantage of the benefits this ever-interconnecting world we all live in is presenting to us. Same is true for companies in this new decade - they no longer need to search for talent in a 30km radius from their office - they can open the global talent pool and select the very best people for their own missions. 

What are the biggest benefits to working remotely for you?


Freedom. Flexibility. Accountability. 

How are you managing the challenges of working remotely?

How you do anything is how you do everything. When we know why we’re doing something, all challenges and distractions become secondary. 

Lastly, what’s the most interesting place you have visited and why?

My answer would have been Prague if it were not for the breathtaking and majestic Bulgarian mountains (Rodopi, Rila, Pirin…). I will say no more and invite all of you to visit and experience them!
