We’ve just released our second OmniAcademy course, and this time our experts are teaching you everything you need to know about hiring international talent through an Employer of Record (EOR).
Following the success of our first OmniAcademy course on international hiring, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve released a second expert-led course, all about the Employer of Record (EOR) model.
This model isn’t a new concept; in fact, it’s been around for decades. But as more and more businesses open up to global hiring, EORs are stepping into the spotlight as a simple solution to international employment. The trouble is, not many people are aware of the nuances of how EORs really work. That’s why we’ve designed a free online course to enable business leaders and HR professionals to hire, pay, and manage international talent through an EOR with confidence.
Our course is divided into seven concise video lessons delivered by two of our in-house HR experts. During the course, our Head of People, Irene van der Werf, and People Operations Team Lead, Roseleen Kagiri, take you through the ins and outs of EORs, covering everything from the legal implications of using one to expected costs and the employee onboarding process. Upon completion, you’ll have a deep understanding of how EORs work so you can leverage them to build a global team quickly and compliantly.
“Not only is Omnipresent an EOR provider, but we also extensively use the EOR model ourselves to hire the best talent across the world. In my role as Head of People, I’ve helped our clients, their international hires, and our own team members understand and embrace the EOR model, so I’m really excited to pass that knowledge on in this course,” says Irene. “One of the most important lessons we teach is how to communicate the EOR model to employees because that’s critical to the overall success of your hiring strategy and the employee experience you provide. If your international hires feel secure and happy with the process, you’ll be in a much better position to retain and nurture them.”
Echoing Irene’s thoughts, Roseleen says: “Working in HR ops, I’ve seen how confusing the EOR model can be for businesses and employees alike - but I’ve also seen how they open so many doors for companies and people around the world. I’m thrilled to be shedding light on the topic during this course, walking HR professionals through key EOR processes like onboarding and employee benefits so they can best support their global team throughout the employee lifecycle.”
Our free lessons include actionable tips and downloadable extras to help you get the most out of your EOR partnership. And once you’ve completed the course, you’ll receive a personalized certificate to share with your networks and showcase your knowledge to colleagues, business partners, clients, and candidates alike.
